Porky

Hello. Miss Piggy here. Just a quick reminder that people cannot catch the "swine flu" from eating cooked pork. According to the folks at the CDC, swine influenza viruses are not transmitted by food. Therefore, you can't get swine influenza from eating pork or pork products. Eating properly handled and cooked pork and pork products is safe. Cooking pork to an internal temperature of 160°F kills the swine flu virus as it does other bacteria and viruses.
Oh, by the way, I'm doing fine and feeling better than ever. Thanks. Love, Miss Piggy

I'm so glad to hear that Miss Piggy is feeling better and that we can't contract the swine flu by eating cooked pork. Thank goodness, because I love me some ham.

I wonder if elected officials can catch the swine flu from pork spending. It would make sense, really, to find out that they've all been terribly sick for years. Maybe the pork spending swine flu is a mutant strain that attacks the part of the brain that controls judgement. Just to be safe, I think all government employees need to get a shot in the head. You know, a "vaccination".
